Pedagogies of Crises -Critical Workshop, Arad, 16-18.09.2022, Timisoara European Capital of Culture

The Knowledge Fields - Post Education project is part of the programme
developed for the European Capital of Culture Timisoara.
Knowledge Fields proposes a series of events and activities focused
on formal and informal arts education. The events will make visible the pedagogies created by artists and cultural mediators to address the contemporary world and the arts as they have been are are being shaped and imbued by new technologies. Invisible and indirect pegagogic approaches, pedagogies for the crisis, imaginations of how the arts and possible futures intertwine. The main goal is to mediate between the field of "art and new technologies" and local audiences in Arad and Timiศoara.
Post-Education will continue in September with "๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ด๐ผ๐ด๐ถ๐ถ ๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ถ", a critical workshop involving a number of professionals, teachers, teaching artists and cultural mediators from Arad, Timiศoara and Bucharest.
The aim of the workshop is to create a working group that contextualises and critically discusses modern education. In this context, we will look at pedagogy in times of crisis, referring by crisis to the climatic, epidemiological, ecological, geopolitical and informational crises, all of which fall under the concept of the crisis of the Western world.
The outcome of the workshop will be an experimental pedagogical guide (in the form of a publication) entitled "Pedagogy of Crisis", collecting ideas and proposals on methodology, content, practices and ped
agogical strategies for the current period.
